Biography
Jay Minkin has been writing Minkin’s Music since January 2007. His musical resume includes being the very first corporate underwriter on public radio station WAPS 91.3 The Summit. Jay was a former board member of the auxiliary group Plugged In at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and also Friends of 91.3 The Summit. He traveled throughout Northeast Ohio and Columbus as the street team captain for Lost Highway Records. In the past, he was a voting member of the Americana Music Association, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, and a Charter Member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
A man who still plays LPs on his Audio Technica turntable, you can usually find Jay at area concerts and record stores looking to find new music that stirs his soul. Besides the home page, Minkin’s Music was formally published in Mimi Vanderhaven, a monthly newspaper delivered to homes in Northeast Ohio, and No Depression, the Americana Alt-Country Roots web magazine.
